Renovation Planning Stage

We are very excited for the house turnover that's why we plotted our future plans for our home renovation. Since budget is very tight, we opted to renovate it per floor for us to have time to save enough money. So the question now is, what floor do we need to start? At first, I thought it was a good idea to start from ground floor up to the third floor but a friend of mine suggested that it's better to start the renovation from top to bottom which basically gave us the idea that this might be a good option since we are on a tight budget.


Plan for Home Renovation:
1. Garage
2. Ground Floor - Kitchen, Living Room and CR
3. Second Floor - Master's Bedroom and Baby's Room
4. Third Floor - Guest's room, Maid's room, Study Area and Laundry Area

Reasons for renovating from top to bottom:
1. Avoid repetitive home repair costs - we do not want to take risk for damages on floor tiles or wall paints in the living room if we will be renovating the second and third floor.

2. Provide storage for construction materials - since we do not have much space to store the materials, hence ground floor will be the best option.

3. Immediate transfer to the house - it will really take time to renovate the ground floor as well as the second floor because this really requires careful preparation and huge amount of money-savings thus, third floor will be very suitable for our first home renovation project.

4. Save enough money - this is to buy time to save money and to pay all future debts during renovation.

Since we do not have dining area and living room area, dwyt and I agreed to make the study area our temporary dining/living room area.
Hopefully a week from now, we will have our Permit to Occupy (PTO) from DECA and be able to start the renovation.

Block 5 Lot 29 Sold!

June 2011, Dwyt and I acquired a townhouse unit in Deca Homes Mandaue Prime located in Jagobiao, Mandaue City. The developer of the site is 8990 Housing Development Corporation. It is a 3-storey unit with a lot area of 46 sq.m and a floor area of 98 sq.m.
